Egypt, Cairo - 18th December 2011 - 25TV is proud to announce the launch of our new English language Youtube Channel, which will open up an exciting platform of original Egyptian news and current affairs programming to the English speaking world. Get closer to the stories and the people of Egypt as they go through a period of profound change that will effect the future of the region and the world. 

Young people lead Egypt’s January 25 revolution using new technologies and ways of communicating that no one expected. 25TV is at the forefront of this new generation of media enterprises with its multi-platform approach to reporting on and interacting with the world around it. As well as broadcasting on satellite frequencies 25TV is continually expanding its presence on Twitter, Facebook and now Youtube. 

Launched earlier this year, 25TV is a new satellite channel based on the principles of the January 25 revolution: democracy, freedom and social justice. Committed to honest and non-biased programming, 25TV encourages transparency and interactivity, and dedicates large segments of its programming to people-oriented issues and concerns. From reporters to cameramen and presenters, 25TV is staffed by the Tahrir Generation who are reshaping the media landscape in Egypt.

25TV works in partnership with Video Cairo Sat that has provided a platform for free speech for over forty years. In keeping with this mission VCS has been working tirelessly since January 25th 2011 to document and transmit the free voice of the Egyptian revolution to the entire world.
